Adaptive Head Protection System
Xenith is extremely proud of their Adaptive Head Protection system which is in every Xenith helmet. This system is designed to lessen any sudden movement that the head may make due to the result of any type of impact. Traditional padding is designed for high-energy impacts which results in being too dense or too stiff for low and medium impacts. This uneven balance of protection results in more head movements and an increase of possible harm.
The patented Adaptive Head Protection is used in both the football and the baseball helmets. Although the looks of the system is slightly different in the football helmets compared to that in the baseball helmets, the technology and the innovation is identical. Combining the Fit Seeker and the Shock Bonnet is a winning combination.
The Fit Seeker is a security system that provides a perfect and secure fit each time the helmet is worn. The chin straps are connected to the helmets Fit Seeker Cable. This cable is woven into and throughout the Shock Bonnet that is inside the helmet. The cable is drawn taught when the chin straps are pulled out and up towards the chin. The tighter the cable, the snugger the fit and no pumps are required.
The Shock Bonnet is a unique form that holds multiple Aware-Flow shock absorbers which adapt to energy that hits them. When a shock absorber receives an impact, the air turbulence inside increases and air is vented through a small hole. This small hole responds to any level of energy whether it is from a full impact or a slight bump.
The Helmet Shell
The shell of each Xenith helmet is made of a high-impact Polycarbonate with vents built in to the helmet. There are 38 colors available and sizes of small, medium, large and extra large. The vents at the back of the helmet allow a good air flow from the front to the back of the helmet.
The chin strap has a snap buckle which is die cast with rounded edges and the strap has an abrasion-resistant polyurethane coating over high strength nylon webbing. The polycarbonate chin cup is vented with a slip-resistant silicone that has a molded fabric insert that keeps moisture off of your face. The chin strap comes in black and white while the chin cup is available in 10 colors.
The facemask is a polyethylene powder coated frame of carbon steel that comes in 5 different styles and 13 colors. The durable surlyn facemask clips are custom designed as they are a crucial part of the Adaptive Head Protection System. The shell is warranted for 5 years and the entire Shock Bonnet for 2 years.
Football and baseball both have the possibilities that an unfortunate head impact will occur. Research has shown that the Adaptive Head Protective System can drastically reduce a head/brain injury which is why a Xenith helmet should be the helmet on your head.
